Appleton’s firefighters and police officers are covered this afternoon, so they can go to Driver/Engineer Mitch Lungaard’s services.
Mayor Tim Hanna says fire departments from around the state volunteered to cover Appleton’s fire stations today, so all firefighters can be at the services. He says Grand Chute police and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s department are handling police calls in the city.
Hanna says city staffers also worked over the past several days to set up the processions. He says they include the public works and parks departments.
