Divers pulled the body of a 23-year-old Manitowoc man from Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh.
Police Officer Kate Mann says someone noticed a guardrail was damaged at the end of the Bowen Street Fishing Dock yesterday morning. She says it seemed like it could’ve been from a car, so the fire department started looking.
Mann says the Winnebago County Dive Team came in with sonar, and found the car. She says the man’s body was inside.
The car was about 150 yards from the fishing dock.
Police are investigating the death. They say Manitowoc police were called to check on the man yesterday.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is doing an autopsy.
