There could be more interest in the former Pioneer Resort and Marina site in Oshkosh because of a land deal.
The City of Oshkosh’s redevelopment authority is buying a stretch of property along Pioneer Drive from Decades Properties.
Community Development Director Allen Davis says that land was part of a package deal, if someone wanted to buy the former resort site. He says having the $1.5 million property cost removed, it should make the redevelopment of the island and marina more feasible.
The site has been vacant for 14 years.
