About 60 K-9s and their handlers from around the state are in Manitowoc this week for re-certification tests.
They work in areas like explosives, drugs, and cadavers.
Master Trainer Roy Lopez says officers never know what they’ll get called to. He says they have to make sure the dogs are prepared for anything.
K-9s have to be re-certified in their specialty every year.
