A Wisconsin Air National Guard sergeant believes Guard officials are trying to force him out because he raised concerns about sexual assault and harassment within his unit.
Master Sgt. Jay Ellis sent U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin a letter last November. He brought up six incidents of harassment or assault against women between 2002 and 2016.
He claims high-ranking officers did little to deal with the issues.
The letter sparked two federal investigations.
Ellis contends Guard officials are trying to force a medical discharge and that would cost him retirement benefits. He says they transferred him from his unit and started researching his medical history.
