A local restaurant chain is raising money for the family of fallen Appleton firefighter Mitch Lundgaard.
The eight Tom’s Drive In locations in the Fox Valley and Sheboygan will donate 10 percent of today’s sales to the Lundgaard family. The restaurants are open until 10 p.m.
Lundgaard was shot and killed nearly two weeks ago, while he was on a medical call at the downtown transit center.
Appleton Police Officer Paul Christensen and 30-year-old bystander Brittany Schowalter were also wounded.
Police say officers shot and killed the suspected shooter.
