The leader of Rawhide Boys Ranch says former Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr had an impact on tens of thousands of young people since he helped start the program.
Starr and his wife Cherry donated money and helped raise more funds.
CEO Alan Loux says until Starr’s health started deteriorating in recent years he would visit the at-risk kids. He says that attitude of being humble and selfless came through whenever he was interacting with the youth.
Starr passed away over the weekend at 85.
