Ahead of the 16th annual “Cruise for Cancer” fundraiser in Green Bay, officials are giving out more than $150,000 to local organizations.
That money is from last year’s event.
Retired Green Bay Packers Security Director Jerry Parins started the fundraiser 16 years ago after his own diagnosis. He says people supported him through his journey, and he knows what others are going through.
About 300 motorcyclists are expected to ride from Green Bay to Oconto and back on June 8th.
Since 2004, Parins has helped raise more than $1.5 million dollars through “Cruise for Cancer.”
