For the first time in years, the Oshkosh Common Council is questioning a mayor’s appointments to citizen boards and commissions.
The criticism comes as Mayor Lori Palmeri removes a number of long-time members with newcomers to local government.
Councilman Steve Herman wonders why a plan commission member with a real estate background is being replaced by someone that has a background in healthcare.
In the end, the council did approve all of the mayor’s appointments.
