Sen Robert Cowles announces he won't seek re-election in the newly redrawn 2nd District
A Republican lawmaker from northeast Wisconsin wants to raise awareness of Lyme disease.
Senator Rob Cowles of Allouez is helping push six bills. He says it’s an ongoing problem, and they’re trying to create more awareness with these proposals.
Cowles wants to make sure people know the symptoms so they can see a doctor. They include fever, headache, fatigue, and a skin rash.
The state Department of Health Services reports there were more than 4,000 new cases in Wisconsin in 2017.
