There’s a new record for Broadway season ticket sales at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Maria Van Laanen is the president of the downtown Appleton venue. She says there’s been a rise in season ticket holders across the country, and that’s happening here in the Fox Cities as well.
The upcoming season includes the last three Tony Award winners for Best Musical including the Wisconsin premiere of “Hamilton.” Van Laanen believes that had a big impact.
Season ticket sales are closed but the PAC doesn’t release the final totals until a season is over. The last available figure is more than 5,100 season tickets from 2017-18.
