A veteran from Iraq and Afghanistan is reflecting on D-Day.
Today is the 75th anniversary of troops storming the beaches of Normandy, France.
Wisconsin Disabled American Veterans Commander Mike Hert believes it’s a special day for all veterans. He says D-Day veterans have set the standard for all veterans. He says the veterans showed valor across the board that day.
Hert says World War II connects him with his dad. His father served, but never talked about the war. Hert wonders what his father was doing 75 years ago today.
