County Board Chair Jeff Nooyen says he’s disappointed by the sales tax veto.
He says he’s dissapointed that County Executive Tom Nelson didn’t respect the super-majority of the board.
Nooyen says the board will vote to try to override the veto next Tuesday.
Two-thirds of members at the meeting would need to agree to put the tax in place. The 28 votes at the last meeting were enough to do that.
