The state will help the City of Green Bay restore a swimming beach at Bay Beach.
Governor Evers stopped in the city this morning to announce a $100,000 grant. Evers says it’s possible to reopen the beach, thanks to work done on the state and local levels.
Former Mayor Jim Schmitt started working on the initiative.
The swimming beach closed in the 1930s.
