Appleton Police Chief Todd Thomas is praising the actions of Officer Paul Christensen and Sgt. Christopher Biese, during last month’s shooting at the downtown transit center.
Thomas says they courageously responded in the way they had been trained, to stop a deadly threat. He says Christensen battled on, after he was wounded, because he knew people’s lives were in danger.
Thomas believes Christensen were genuinely concerned about Houston, before Houston turned on them. He says after the shootout, the two officers and other responders, tried to help Ruben Houston, even though he had just tried to kill them.
