A group is urging the Appleton school district take action against a school board member for a graduation speech.
The Madison-based Freedom From Religion Foundation believes Pastor Alvin Dupree violated the separation of church and state, by talking about his Christian beliefs at Appleton North High School.
A number of students also wrote a letter to the district, raising concerns.
The group is asking the district to ban Dupree from speaking at official events, and to set speech guidelines for board members and district employees.
