Governor Evers says if Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes owes taxes, he should pay them.
The Milwaukee city treasurer’s office is reporting that Barnes hasn’t paid more than $2,200 in property taxes, interest, and penalties for his condominium.
Barnes claims he’s using an installment plan to catch up.
The office says Barnes hasn’t made any payments yet.
