President Trump is planning to officially announce his re-election bid tonight.
State Democratic Party leaders will try to keep him from winning in Wisconsin again.
Chair Ben Wikler says the party is ready to get to work. He says people are talking to voters and getting ready to run. He expects to see a “blue wave” in local elections around the state.
Wikler says former Governor Scott Walker will lead Trump’s campaign in the state. He thinks that will actually help the Democrats’ case. Wikler says hosting the 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee also works in the state’s favor.
