Outagamie County Sheriff’s deputies are training for active shooter situations at Shiocton’s schools.
Sgt. Nathan Borman says they’ll be at the building today and on some other days over the next couple of weeks. Borman says they try to rotate the training to the schools around the county. That way he says more deputies know the layout of the various schools. The department has already held drills in Hortonville before and they’ll be in Freedom next month.
Borman says they’ll have a number of squad cars around the school and officers might be outside with guns.
