There could be a deep dive into the conditions at all of Appleton’s public schools.
Chief Financial Officer Greg Hartjes plans to ask the school board to create a special committee. He says their schools aren’t in terrible shape but it’s important to always be reviewing them before something becomes dire.
He thinks the members could include parents, staff, and community stakeholders. The district hired consultants to study each building and look at enrollment numbers. They found that some elementary schools on the northeast side of Appleton are overcrowded.
