A business in downtown De Pere is working to help women advance their careers.
The Connective puts together workshops and gives them a chance to network.
Co-founder Bridget O’Connor says 40 percent of businesses are owned by women. She says only 15 percent of them are companies with employees, and that means most of them are solo entrepreneurs. O’Connor also says there are about 70 women business owners in the downtown De Pere area.
O’Connor is also working to provide training, so women can learn more skills and move up into management positions.
The Connective hosted an open house this morning.
