A three-year-old chocolate lab is back with her owner after going missing nearly eight months ago.
The Fox Valley Humane Association is crediting Facebook for helping with the reunion. The group’s Emma Walker says someone surrendered a dog named Shadow on Tuesday. She says the person apparently found her as a stray in Fremont.
Walker says they scanned the dog’s microchip, but it was blank. She says they didn’t want to give up.
After someone at the shelter put a post on Facebook about the dog the real owner from Marinette called in less than two hours.
The dog’s real name is Lucy and she was reunited with her owner yesterday.
