Not even his fellow Democrats know what Governor Tony Evers will do with the budget approved by the Republican-controlled Legislature.
Representative Amanda Stuck has had no contact with Evers’ office on what may be vetoed. She thinks there will be line-item vetoes at the very least.
Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald is asking Evers to not veto the whole document. He thinks it would be difficult to build something acceptable if Evers does.
Republicans did not include Governor Evers’ plan to take Federal dollars to expand Medicaid and they reduced public school spending by $900 million.
