Many people will set off fireworks this week for the Fourth of July and the De Pere fire department is reminding people to stay safe.
Assistant Fire Chief Rich Annen says even legal fireworks like sparklers can be dangerous. He says there are about 9,000 injuries nation-wide every year. He says most of those are males, and most are adults.
Annen says people should always be careful when using fireworks.
