A duplex on Appleton’s south side is damaged in a late night fire.
Crews were called to the 100 block of East McKinley Street around 11:30 p.m. for a report of heavy smoke and flames comes from the rear of the building.
No one was home at the time and crews quickly put out the fire.
No damage estimate was released but officials say the home isn’t safe to live in.
The cause is still under investigation.
