Oshkosh officials are getting an earful from business owners over a proposed transportation fee.
The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce let city leaders answer questions and concerns from its members in a packed house hearing this morning.
Chamber President John Casper says one of their main concerns is that the city is using the same formula that determines a property’s stormwater utility charge for the transportation fee too.
City Manager Mark Rohloff maintains that commercial and residential property owners will save money in the long run. He believes there is a lot of benefit to the fee, and it will be more cost effective.
The Oshkosh Common Council will have a first reading of the proposal tonight. A final vote is scheduled for July 23rd.
