
A group is collecting school supplies to help local kids at the start of the next school year.
The Oshkosh Area United Way hosted its annual “Stuff the Truck” event Tuesday.
President Mary Ann Dilling says a recent study shows about 46 percent of people in Oshkosh struggle to afford homes, food, and utilities. She says some families have to choose between buying school supplies and feeding their families.
The donations will go to the Oshkosh-Winneconne Back to School Fair next month. The group is still collecting items.
