A Neenah teen charged with killing his grandparents is entering an insanity plea.
Seventeen-year-old Alexander Kraus was in Outagamie County court this morning, and a judge ordered a competency exam.
Prosecutors say Kraus shot 74-year-old Dennis Kraus and his 73-year-old wife Letha at their home on W. Edgewood Drive in Grand Chute. They say he had typewritten plans in a backpack, and he called police afterward.
The teen formal plea was not guilty by mental disease or defect. He’ll be back in court for a motion hearing next month.
