Mabel Murphy’s in downtown Oshkosh will return after a fire destroyed the bar in May.
Manager Sean Felker says they’ll rebuild on the same footprint at the corner of North Main Street and Irving Avenue.
Felker did reveal that the bar will have carpeting. He says that’s something that people are asking about. The fire started in an upstairs apartment in the building next door and it spread to the bar.
Felker doesn’t have a timeline for opening the rebuilt bar. He hopes they can have an enclosed building before it starts to snow.
