There’s another push to take politics out of the process of redrawing the state’s Legislative boundaries.
Democratic Sen. Dave Hansen of Green Bay is the co-author of the latest bill on the redistricting process. He wants the nonpartisan Legislative Reference Bureau to put together the boundaries.
Majority Republicans in the Legislature drew the current ones in 2011.
Hansen says three GOP lawmakers are co-sponsoring the proposal.
Republican leaders in the Assembly and Senate aren’t expected to take up the bill.
