Half of a bridge project in downtown Appleton is done, and that means drivers can head south from Appleton Street to the Oneida Skyline Bridge.
Chad Doran is a spokesman for the city. He says they finished that part of the bridge ahead of schedule, and traffic is flowing smoothly.
The city is building a new bridge for northbound traffic to eliminate a curve onto Lawrence Street. It will connect drivers to the new two-way Appleton Street.
Doran believes they’ll finish that part of the project in early- to mid-October.
