The leader of a local group hopes to use state funding for a veterans housing project in Grand Chute.
Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Mary Kolar was in the Fox Cities yesterday to talk about what money is available through the state budget.
Fox Valley Veterans Council President Jim Strong would like the state to support their plans for more below-market housing called Veterans Village. He says it’s for veterans of all ages.
Nine veterans live in the village right now. Strong hopes they can expand and offer more options.
