Some new features are now open in Lower Telulah Park in Appleton.
Deputy Parks and Recreation Director Tom Flick says they finished a project along the Fox River. He says they built the first ADA-accessible kayak and canoe launch, along with a fishing deck. The city plans to eventually extend the deck into a pier.
There’s also a kayak launch at Lutz Park, on the north shore of the river.
Flick says the project includes a new parking lot for trail users. It’s next to the Marriott hotel that’s part of the RiverHeath development.
Just in time for a hopefully cooler weekend ahead, our @appletonparkrec Dept. opened up the lower Teluhlah Park trail today! Check out the new connection to the park and the fishing and kayaking opportunities too! #Appleton #WhatMakesAppletonGreat pic.twitter.com/84ZMAIaLWp
