A former UW-Oshkosh student will receive a $325,000 settlement in a sexual harassment lawsuit.
The woman accused UW-O of failing to take action against former art professor Michael Beitz. She claims they had a consensual relationship in 2012, but he started sexually abusing and harassing her the next year. She says she was trying to distance herself from him.
University investigators determined Beitz violated system policies, and he resigned in 2015.
The UW System agreed to the settlement.
