The EAA is doing what it can to accommodate campers looking to stay at the water-logged AirVenture grounds.
Camp Scholler at AirVenture is still very wet, after more than two inches of rain fell there on Saturday. People with large campers were sent to various sites around Oshkosh over the weekend.
EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski says it’s possible that they could be allowed in later this week. He says they’re checking on the conditions three times a day.
Among the sites hosting EAA campers now are the Menominee Nation Arena, and the Sunnyview Expo Center. Shuttle buses are running people to the AirVenture grounds.
