The EAA is celebrating women in aviation today, with its annual “WomenVenture.”
Nearly 1,000 ladies involved in aviation posed for the annual WomenVenture picture on Boeing Plaza today.
Eighty-four-year-old student pilot Carol Kaywood was among them. She was inspired to get into the cockpit by her daughter.
The EAA sees women as a huge potential growth area for aviation. Kaywood recommends they give it a try, no matter their age.
Kaywood is a member of the 99’s, an association of female pilots. They have chapters and outreach programs around the country.
