One man is dead after a home explosion in Manawa over the weekend.
Waupaca County Sheriff’s deputies say it happened around 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning on Highway N near the intersection with Highway T.
Manawa Fire Chief Rob Rosenau says he’s never seen anything like this before. He says it’s usually on T.V. and they hope it doesn’t happen in this area, but now it did.
Investigators believe the victim owned the home and was sleeping when it happened. They say the blast threw debris up to 500 feet around the house.
Crews are looking into what caused the explosion.
