Governor Evers is officially asking for federal help with the cleanup of last month’s storms across Wisconsin.
FEMA and the state emergency management department verified more than $19.5 million in damage and cleanup costs. That amount is only for governments, and not private property.
Outagamie, Waupaca and Shawano counties are among the 18 in the state that could receive federal funding, if President Trump’s administration makes a disaster declaration.
The funding would only go to governments to recoup their costs, and not homeowners or businesses.
