It will cost more to keep Oshkosh streets clear of ice and snow this winter.
City manager Mark Rohloff says the price of road salt is up by $4 per ton.
He says they go through 1,400 to 1,500 tons each year.
Rohloff estimates that could amount to more than $10,000 dollars a year.
The Oshkosh Common Council will vote tonight to add $311,000 to the public works budget to buy more salt for this winter.
