A group of lawmakers is introducing a bill that would let Native Americans from anywhere in the U.S. to pay in-state tuition at UW System schools.
Supporters of the bi-partisan proposal hope it will encourage more Native Americans to go to college in Wisconsin.
They want to increase campus diversity. They also believe it would serve as a step toward reconciliation for tribes losing their land years ago.
