A report shows the City of Oshkosh isn’t close to making its money back when the fire department transfers patients from a hospital to another facility.
Robert Finn of Matrix Consulting says it costs about $1,400 for each one, and the city is only collecting about $300 of that. He says over a year, the city is losing about $500,000.
The report recommends the city stop that service, and force hospitals to contract with private companies.
