Starting a new business can be overwhelming. That’s why the FVTC Venture Center works to help students launch and grow their own business. They have a special program that helps out veterans called the Innovation Accelerator Program for Veterans. Amy Pietsch, Director of the Fox Valley Technical College Venture Center joins us to share more about this program for veterans.
Halloween is just 30 days away but you can get a family friendly taste of spooky at the Rades Family Pumpkin Display! This year’s theme, “A Night at the Movies – the Sequel!” brings your favorite characters to life on pumpkins. The display will be up October 4,5,6 at 1225 E. Harding Drive in Appleton. Seeing the display comes at zero cost, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Stock the Shelves program.
International Walk to School Day takes place on October 2 and we’re talking with Safe Routes to School Coordinator Melissa Kraemer Badtke about the important things to remember not only on this day, but every day. Safe Routes is also launching their We Take Time to Break for our Kids campaign, which gives great reminders to drivers.
