The drunk driving prevention program that lets people leave a car parked on a Green Bay city street overnight is ready to go.
Brown County Tavern League president Don Mjelde says after a soft start, they’re officially launching “SafePark.”
Nearly 25 bars across the city are participating. He says people can get a placard from those bars, and put it on their car, so they don’t get a ticket.
Mjelde joined Green Bay police this morning to announce the rollout.
Police say they’ve arrested more than 200 people for driving drunk in Green Bay so far this year.
