The leader of a Native American music group is disappointed by the mock tribal dance by several students at Clintonville High School.
The song heard in the video is by Northern Cree. The band’s Steve Wood is willing to reach out to the school.
Wood says they could play music for the students and talk with them. He says they would try to make it interactive, and give them a different perspective.
The school cancelled or postponed Homecoming events because of safety concerns. The controversial dance was part of a dance-off competition, and a video was posted on social media.
Clintonville police are investigating threats that were made on social media.
