A Shiocton woman is dead, and a semi driver was seriously hurt in a crash east of Freedom this morning.
Outagamie County Sheriff’s deputies say a 52-year-old Shiocton woman ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highways S and P. She crashed into a semi and died a the scene.
A 55-year-old Shiocton man was driving the semi, and he was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare’s Neenah hospital. He has life-threatening injuries.
Lt. Ryan Carpenter says while there were scattered slippery spots on roads, that wasn’t a factor in the crash.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m.
