Gulfstream is laying off about nearly 450 workers across the country.
The company isn’t releasing the number of people that are impacted in Greenville, but it’s less than four percent of the employees.
Gulfstream opened a $40 million airplane maintenance facility at Appleton International Airport this summer. Company officials say they continue to hire technicians there, and they continue to grow in the manufacturing and maintenance areas.
They say the cutbacks are in the business support and administrative areas.
The 450 jobs is less than four percent of Gulfstream’s overall workforce.
