The phones were ringing much more than usual today at Winnebago County’s 911 dispatch center.
About 450 calls came in between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. That’s more than twice as many as last week Wednesday.
There were almost 100 crashes, and reports of about 30 cars in ditches.
