A longtime member of the Outagamie County Board died yesterday, and he’s being remembered as an advocate for people.
Supervisor Jim Duncan of Grand Chute was 72.
County Board Chair Jeff Nooyen says Duncan was a big supporter of jail diversion programs, like the veterans court and drug court. He says Duncan was an advocate for people, and he rarely missed a meeting unless he was having a health issue.
Nooyen isn’t sure if he’ll appoint someone to the seat, or wait until the spring election in April.
Duncan spent nearly 22 years on the county board. He was also the chair of the Outagamie County Republican Party.
