U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson’s actions during the impeachment inquiry are raising questions from a law expert.
The Oshkosh Republican is making a number of high-profile national TV appearances to support President Trump. He was also a witness to meetings and conversations that are at the center of the inquiry.
University of Missouri law school professor Frank Bowman is questioning Johnson’s behavior. But if there’s a trial in the Senate, Bowman’s not sure if there’s a requirement that Johnson recuse himself, as a juror.
Johnson has said he wouldn’t recuse himself.
