Attorneys for two former UW Oshkosh administrators accused of illegally guaranteeing debt from the UWO Foundation want an amended criminal complaint dismissed.
Former Chancellor Richard Wells and Former Vice Chancellor Tom Sonnleitner are facing five counts of misconduct.
Their motion points out that the UW system’s Vice President of Finance knew about the guarantees and that the school eventually paid off the debts when the Fundation defaulted.
A Winnebago County judge will issue a ruling January 15th.
